Search Continues For 2 Men Accused In Vehicular Hijacking

Artist renderings have been released of the two men accused of pulling a gun on a man and stealing his car back in November in Green Oaks.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Sheriff's Offices has released artist renderings of two men — including one who was armed — who attacked a 42-year-old man and stole his car in November, according to authorities.

The vehicular hijakcing happened in the parking lot of a business in the 14500 block of West Rockland Road in Green Oaks at about 6:10 a.m. on Nov. 27.

The men are described as being African American and in their 20s. The first man had a lighter complexion and was between 160 and 170 pounds. The second man had darker complexion and was larger, according to police.

One of the men is accused of holding handgun to the man's head and hitting him in the head and face. After the attacked, one of the men got into the victim's 2019 Kia Forte and drove away.
