Sheriff Curran educates on Human Trafficking
On January 30, 2014 the Lake County Sheriff’s Office hosted a 5 hour course on Human Trafficking and Indentured Servitude.
The course was presented by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in conjunction with Annabelle Marquez, Victim Assistance Coordinator and was free for Lake County law enforcement agencies.

Topics of instruction included classification of human trafficking, indentured servitude, asset forfeiture, intelligence, and countries using organizations to smuggle undocumented foreign nationals into the U.S.
