Teen Fatally Shot Outside Mundelein Walgreens
Mundelein police are searching for the gunman following the fatal shooting Thursday afternoon outside a store.
MUNDELEIN, IL — An 18-year-old man is dead following a shooting Thursday afternoon outside a Walgreens in Mundelein, police told the Daily Herald.
The teen was shot about 1 p.m. by someone the teen apparently knew, following a disagreement involving a small group of people outside the store at 345 N. Lake St., said Mundelein Police Chief Eric Guenther.
The shooter fled on foot, and authorities are searching for him but do not believe there is any threat to the community, police told the newspaper. Anyone with information about the shooting can call Lake County Crime Stoppers at 847-662-2222 or Mundelein police at 847-968-4600.
