TX Man Driving 'On Rims' Of Truck Arrested For DUI: Police
The Libertyville Police Department arrested the man at a hotel in town after receiving complaints about his driving.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A 25-year-old Texas man who was spotted driving in town on the rims of his pick-up truck now faces drunken driving charges, police said. Libertyville Police Department officers responded to Highway 45 and Peterson Road at about 10 p.m. on Sept. 19 after receiving complaints regarding the truck and found a vehicle matching the description given at the Candlewood Suites hotel.
Police spoke with the truck's driver, Christopher B. Cook, of Kaufman, Texas, who showed signs of being intoxicated, according to a Libertyville Police Department report.
He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence BAC over .08. Cook is next expected in court in Lake County on Oct. 9.
