What is Coding? Is it for you?

Today it seems that computers are a part of almost everything. Coding is basically what controls them. Learn some basic coding skills and see if this is something for which you have an aptitude or interest, and if you would like to learn more. Even if pursuing a career related to software development doesn’t interest you, many believe that learning to code definitely increases thinking and problem-solving skills. We’ll cover basic concepts, write and test some actual code, and discuss coding structures such as repetitive loops and branching structures. We’ll also discuss ways that you can continue the learning after completing this course. Gold Card Fee: $29.50. Tuition: $59. Class meets 6:30–8:30 PM on Wednesdays, October 7–October 21, at Vernon Hills High School. Registration is required.
