Woman In Stopped Car In Middle Of Road Faces DUI Charge: Police

A Libertyville police officer found the woman behind the wheel of the car and took her into custody for drunken driving, authorities said.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL -- A 25-year-old Mundelein woman faces a drunken driving charge after authorities found her inside her car, which was stopped in the middle of south Fifth Street, during the early morning hours of April 6, police said. A Libertyville Police Department officer observed Olivia J. Dunigan's vehicle, which was running, at 1:47 a.m. and noticed a strong smell of alcohol coming from the vehicle. Dunigan, of the 21000 block of West Andover Drive, failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody, according to the police report.

Her vehicle was towed. Dunigan was processed at the the Libertyville Police Department and released after posting her driver’s license and a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

She is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Her court date is set for April 19 at the Lake County Courthouse.
