Wrong Way Driver Arrested for DUI on Milwaukee Avenue
The Bartlett man was spotted going southbound in the northbound lane of South Milwaukee Avenue early Sunday.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL - A 24-year-old Bartlett man was arrested for drunken driving after he was spotted driving south in the northbound lane of South Milwaukee Avenue early Sunday in Libertyville, according to a police report.
MIchael A. Giron, of 1355 Malbaro Court, was pulled over just before 1 a.m. as he ”made a left-hand turn against a red light at Artaius Parkway,” according to a Libertyville Police Department report. Officers smelled alcohol on his breath and he failed field sobriety tests.
He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, disobeying a traffic control device and open transportation of alcohol, according to the police report.

He was released after posting his driver’s license and a $1,000 personal recognizance bond. He is next expected in court on March 18.
