36th Annual Ron Santo Walk to Cure Diabetes
JDRF and tens of thousands of adults and children will participate in the Ron Santo Walk to Cure Diabetes in memory of JDRF's greatest champ

JDRF will host its annual Ron Santo Walk to Cure Diabetes on Sun., Oct. 5, with walks scheduled in Illinois on the Chicago Lakefront, as well as in Libertyville, Schaumburg, Palos Hills, Peoria and Warrenville. A walk will also take place in Northwest Indiana in Merrillville on Sun., Sept. 28. The Walk goal is to raise a total of $4 million in support of research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes
JDRF is the world’s largest charitable funderand advocate of type 1 diabetes research. The goal of JDRF research is to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes by accelerating progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing type 1 diabetes. Illinois is the largest of 80 JDRF chapters around the world.
