Darrian Ford in "The Cooke Book - The Music of Sam Cooke"

Darrian Ford in THE COOKE BOOK – The Music of Sam Cooke, will play at Lincoln Hall on Friday and Saturday August 29 and 30 at 8:00pm. The Cooke Book is a celebration of the greatest hits of Sam Cooke, one of modern music’s biggest influencers, attributed to be the man who invented soul. Darrian Ford, the show’s creator, is joined on stage by a dynamic 5 piece band, also providing background/additional vocals. The performance includes an evening of favorites, including ‘Twistin,’ ‘Change Is Gonna Come,’ ‘Cupid,’ ‘Wonderful World,’ ‘Nobody Knows the Trouble I’ve Seen,’ and ‘You Send Me’.

Ford’s performance has been highly acclaimed, and his return to Chicago stages comes following a sold out performance in April.
