Irish Pub to Replace Bank in Old Town

CHICAGO, IL - If you thought Old Town couldn’t possibly get more exciting, wrap your head around this news recently reported by the Chicago Eater. 

Goodbye bank, hello Irish pub. 

Lady Gregory’s, a popular hotspot on Andersonville’s Clark Street, will open in the former Citibank space at 1525 N. Wells St., according to the Eater. The Old Town opening of the famed hangout that offers multiple fireplaces and a wine room is expected in January. 

The Old Town location will also feature a U-shaped bar in the center and a library. 

"We've been looking to do something different for a couple years," Co-owner Martin Cournane said. "But we're kind of fussy about where we were going to do it. We really wanted to find a neighborhood with lots of foot traffic and lots of residents."

Enter Old Town. One of the top city neighborhoods when it comes to foot traffic.
