Kick off the Holiday Season at the 41st Annual Lincolnwood Turkey Trot 5K/10K Race & 5K Fitness Walk

The 41st Annual Lincolnwood Turkey Trot will be held on Sunday, November 19. This CARA Certified 5K and 10K race features a flat, fast timed course perfect for novice as well as experienced runners.

Each November, this Lincolnwood tradition brings families together to participate in a fun race or fitness walk and helps the Niles Township Food Pantry put groceries on the table this Thanksgiving for those in need. All participants and encouraged bring a non-perishable food item to donate, which also enters them into the raffle for great prizes from local businesses.

Last year, over 2,000 people participated in Lincolnwood Turkey Trot, traveling from around the U.S, and from several countries to take part in this historic event, which, for the last 40 years has helped create memories and traditions that last a lifetime.

The Lincolnwood Turkey Trot also offers a a 5K Fitness Walk and Drumstick Dash 50 and 100 yard dash for kids 6 and under.

All pre-registered participants will receive a long-sleeve running shirt and everyone who crosses the finish line receives a limited edition 2017 Anniversary finisher medal. New Turkey Trot race medals will also be awarded to 1st – 3rd place finishers in each age division, male and female, in each race. Awards are also given to the top male and female Lincolnwood finishers of each race, as well as to each male and female overall winner in each race.

Everyone who brings in a non-perishable food item or makes a monetary donation to the Niles Township Food Pantry on race day will be entered in the post-race raffle, and will be helping to feed those in need during the holiday season. In addition, the Village of Lincolnwood will also be donating a portion of the race fees to benefit the Niles Township Food Pantry.
