Sheffield Neighborhood Association Launches Lincoln Yards Survey
The latest survey aims to collect "more in-depth" community input about the proposed Lincoln Yards development, the association said.

CHICAGO, IL — Another survey is circulating online to gather community feedback about the proposed Lincoln Yards development. Written by the Sheffield Neighborhood Association, the information will be used to help inform the SNA and other community groups, organizers said.
The proposed Lincoln Yards development includes around 12 million square feet of buildings in the North Branch area, which would include 5,000 new homes.
Many North Side residents have expressed concerns about population density, traffic and infrastructure issues. Mayor Rahm Emanuel and aldermen have promised the development won't get the green light without extensive community feedback.

"Communication and engagement is critical to a community-driven process the mayor has demanded for the North Branch redevelopment," the Sheffield Neighborhood Association stated on the survey webpage. "The information collected will be made public (without your name) and will become part of the initial conversation we will be having with the developer as we move forward with this project."
The survey includes four sections, the last two of which are optional.

The latest survey follows a previous Lincoln Yards feedback form by Ald. Brian Hopkins. More than 450 people completed the 2nd Ward survey, and ranked congestion mitigation as one of their top concerns.
