He was arrested in the Uptown neighborhood early Friday. During his arrest, police said Valverde intentionally struck an arrested officer with his car to avoid being taken into custody.

The 21-year-old woman identified Valverde as the many who sexually assaulted her on August 20 as she stood in the entryway of her residence in the 900 block of West Belden Avenue in Lincoln Park, police said.

Valverde was arrested Friday, 24 hours after police released a surveillance image of the man they believed assaulted the 21-year-old student on the DePaul University campus last Thursday, ABC 7 Chicago reported.

Police say that Valverde are looking into two other attacks on women that occurred Aug. 9 and Aug. 15, in Lincoln Park and the Gold Coast, police said.

In each incident, the women were walking alone in the early morning hours when they were approached from behind. Two of the women were in the entryways of their residences.

Valverde is believed to have attempted to assault a woman in the 100 block of West Goethe Street around 12:45 a.m. August 15, police said.

Valverde is scheduled for a bond hearing Saturday at 26th and California.
