Moscow Ballet looking for Chicago dancers for "Nutcracker"

The legendary Moscow Ballet is holding an open audition in Chicago for talented young dancers to be a part of their annual production of ”The Great Russian Nutcracker.” The audition is held starting at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Southport Performing Arts Conservatory (SPACE) located at 3433 W. Peterson Ave., Chicago.

Dancers must be between the ages of 6-18, have at least two years of ballet training, be no more than 5-feet tall and be able to commit to a rehearsal schedule.

Selected dancers will appear as costumed characters on-stage with professional dancers from the Moscow Ballet in the December 7, 2014, production of “The Great Russian Nutcracker”
