• Resident left displaced after fire causes extensive damage to exterior of house in Lindenhurst (lakemchenryscanner.com) — A Lindenhurst home in the 200 block of Briar Lane was heavily damaged by an exterior fire, leaving its sole resident temporarily homeless while repairs are made. Lake Villa firefighters quickly contained the blaze to the rear of the house, preventing it from spreading inside, and no one was injured. Smoke and water damage still make the home uninhabitable for now.
