Community-Driven Lisle Master Plan Seeks New Vision for Downtown
A Public Open House and Public Hearing on the draft plan will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Lisle Village Hall.

Since the fall of 2016, the Village of Lisle has been working toward the completion of a master plan with an overall goal to revitalize Lisle’s downtown area over the next decade.
One of the core objectives of the Downtown Lisle Master Plan is to implement a focused vision to ensure downtown Lisle is an exciting destination, which incorporates new businesses while preserving its local charm. The purpose of the plan is to be a comprehensive, guiding document that directs investment, development and subsequent growth in the downtown area through 2028.
The plan is now going through the Village’s formal approval process and is a direct result of community engagement activities.

Among these efforts was the creation of the Downtown Planning Advisory Committee (DPAC), who conducted public meetings, and open houses for community members, in addition to visioning workshops. The group also implemented a survey, and interviewed stakeholders and focus groups. Feedback from residents, businesses, property owners, local organizations, students and visitors was collected and incorporated into the final draft plan.
“Feedback from Lisle residents and stakeholders are an integral part of this draft plan,” said Village Manager Eric Ertmoed. “We are grateful to all who contributed to it through their ideas and feedback, and look forward to continuing to strengthen our downtown area, which is a valuable asset to our community.”
