Electronics, Textiles Recycling Event To Be Held In Lisle

The village's quarterly event for recycling electronics and textiles will be held this weekend.

LISLE, IL — Lisle will hold its quarterly recycling event for electronics items and textiles on Saturday. The event will be held at Lisle Commuter Parking Lot B from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Below is a list of electronic items that will be accepted for recycling:

  • Blenders, microwaves, coffee pots, toasters
  • Fax machines, phones, printers, scanners
  • Computers, modems, laptops, tablets, keyboards, drives
  • Electronic cables, cords and adaptors
  • Video game consoles
  • Stereos, VCRs, DVD players
  • Speakers

Televisions and computer monitors can be recycled for $25 or $35, depending on their size.

Clothing that is donated will be recycled via RewearAble, which resells clothing or repurposes textiles into insulation, cleaning rags and other materials.

  • Bedding
  • Rags and towels
  • Cloth purses
  • Cloth toys
