Safe Haven Dog Rescue would like to bring these dogs to Illinois this weekend to give them a fresh start for the New Year…
But they needs foster homes first!
Millie – A 5 year old Beagle mix that, as you can see by her picture, is so uncertain of her future and very sad. We would like to take that fear away and show her what it’s like to be safe and loved.

Sheldon – 8 Month Old Shepherd Boxer Mix said to be very happy, loveable, and good with other dogs.
Olivia - About 1-2 years old, Boxer mix, found with her brother and mother and is pregnant. It is estimated that her puppies will be born in mid-January and the shelter is no place for momma and puppies! Fostering a pregnant dog through birth and watching the puppies grow is an absolutely amazing experience!

While you foster, we pay all expenses from vetting, to food and we provide a crate, leash, collars, and toys. Your family provides love (something they desperately need!) and a warm place until they find their forever homes. We also require that you have the ability to take these pups to routine veterinary visits at our participating vets. These vets are located in Wheaton, Naperville, and Elmhurst. Spay/Neuters are done in North Aurora.
Fostering is the most life giving thing you can do for a dog or puppy! It is a very rewarding experience that will make a huge impact on their life. By becoming a foster you are saving 2 lives - the animal you bring into your home while he or she waits to be adopted, and the animal who gets to take your foster’s place in the shelter.
