Lisle-Woodridge Fire District To Commemorate September 11 With Remembrance Ceremony

LISLE, IL — Residents are invited to attend the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District's (LWFD) September 11 Remembrance Ceremony at Fire Station #51. The ceremony will pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and subsequent war, along with local military personnel, police officers and firefighters.

The ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m. and will include a posting of the colors by the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District Honor Guard and a performance of "The Star Spangled Banner."

Pastor Garrett Bova will perform an invocation and LWFD Chief Keith Krestan will share remarks.

At 8:46 a.m. there will be a moment of silence, followed by a 21-gun salute and a performance of "Taps" and "Amazing Grace."
