Naperville Delays Vote on Puppy Mill Restrictions

The Naperville City Council has decided to delay placing restrictions on businesses that some consider ”puppy mills” in order to see how lawsuits surrounding the topic play out in Cook County as well as across the country, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The council first addressed the issue in June when animal rights groups approached trustees and said dogs that are used for breeding by large facilities ”aren’t treated well” and their puppies face health problems, the Chicago Tribune reports.
