LISLE, IL — The Lisle Police Department is acknowledging what officials are calling the quick actions of two caring citizens after a female was rescued from her car Wednesday just before it was engulfed in flames. According to LPD, officers were sent to an accident involving one car along Maple Avenue, where they were helped by two people who they say were able to pull the accident victim from her car moments it was consumed by fire (pictured above).
LPD said the duo's heroic efforts helped the victim avoid serious injuries.
"The Lisle Police Department is always here to help you, but we are at our best when working with the community to serve and protect," the department said in a Facebook post.
