Students at Chesterbrook Academy® Preschool in Lisle Donate 90 Gifts to Children in Need
Families helped to load the gifts into the Salvation Army's van for delivery during the school's annual holiday event
LISLE, Ill. (Dec. 22, 2016) – Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Lisle recently donated 90 gifts to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. Students and their families collected toys, clothes and personal care items to benefit children in need from Dupage County during the holidays. After the items were collected, Chesterbrook Academy families helped to load the gifts into the Salvation Army’s donation van during the school’s annual holiday event. Preschool students and their families also enjoyed taking pictures with Santa, decorating cookies, making winter crafts and shopping at the school’s holiday gift shop during the celebration.
The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program is an opportunity to spread joy and cheer to the less fortunate during the holidays. Angel Trees represent the wishes and desires of a child or youth. Through the program, families and children have their specific needs and wants met for a warm and joyous holiday experience.
