Series of local musicians to come to Lisle's premier senior living community. Hosted in the patio of this beautiful 47 acre campus. Free!

Villa St. Benedict, Lisle's premier senior living community, will be hosting a Summer Music Series, featuring varied performers from all over Chicagoland. We are happy to be inviting the public to these free performances. Refreshments and appetizers will be served on our lovely patio, overlooking our 47 acre campus. Come see, hear, and taste what senior living can really be like!

Jake Mack is a Soul and Blues -based Americana/Rock musician out of the western Chicago suburbs. He is a career musician with a fully loaded show schedule, and a repertoire filled with original material, as well as carefully-selected covers from the likes of The Who, Jason Isbell, Howlin’ Wolf, Ryan Adams, and Otis Redding, among many others. When seeing Jake Mack live, you can expect top-notch, veteran-style musicianship, expert crafting of each song, and an engaging stage presence.

Make no mistake...Greg Boerner is a straight-shootin', clean livin' guitarist/singer/songwriter. Today at a young 47, Greg Boerner (pronounced "Burner") shows a musical maturity that favors traditional forms of blues, folk, country, roots rock n' roll and all that comes between. His songwriting reflects this eclectic mix and Boerner cites Ray Charles, Tom Waits, Willie Dixon, Mose Allison, Gregg Allman, J.J. Cale, Bob Dylan and Willis Alan Ramsey as a few of his influences.

Petra Van Nuis

Petra van Nuis (pronounced Pay-tra van Nouse) is a Chicago-based jazz vocalist who has been described in Downbeat Magazine as having "a light, gorgeous, and fairly delicate voice...a gift for melody and plenty of rhythmic confidence."

A Chicagoan since 2003, Petra sings at all the finest jazz venues in town including the Jazz Showcase, the Green Mill, Katerina's, Andy's Jazz Club, Fitzgerald's, the City Winery, and the Old Town School of Folk Music. Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs has presented Petra's groups at the Chicago Cultural Center and Chicago Summer Dance. The Jazz Institute of Chicago has featured Petra's Recession Seven band at the Chicago Jazz Festival and Jazz City. Along with six other Chicago jazz artists, she was nominated for the "Best Jazz Entertainer 2013" for the 33rd Annual Chicago Music Awards.

Benedictine University OPUS

OPUS (Orchestra Parents/Patrons’ United Support) Association is an IRS 501(c)3 charitable, not-for-profit volunteer organization formed in the year 2000 by parents desiring to support Naperville Community School District 203 orchestras. Since its inception, OPUS has broadened its mission to stimulate and sustain students’ interest in chamber and orchestral music, and to promote students’ musical achievements and performances to Naperville and its surrounding communities. Today its activities and events involve parents, music professionals, members of the community, and student families who act as music ambassadors to their respective schools.
