• Lockport-Area Districts Awarded Grants For School Security Improvements: Will County (patch.com) — Lockport schools are getting new security upgrades thanks to Will County grants funded by cannabis tax revenue, with Kelvin Grove and other nearby schools each receiving $4,500. The money will pay for reinforced entrance glass and enhanced visitor and attendance systems, with work expected to wrap up by Nov. 30. Local officials say the goal is to give students a safer learning environment every day.
