• Winnebago County Veterans Association holds National POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony (mystateline.com) — A National POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony at Loves Park City Hall brought veterans, families, and neighbors together to honor prisoners of war and service members still missing. Organized for the first time by the Winnebago County Veterans Association, the event featured music, candle lighting, and reflections from retired Air Force Maj. Gen. and former POW John Borling.
