The Kankakee County Coroner's Office on Monday identified the victims to Patch.

KANKAKEE COUNTY — Four people—including a 5-year-old girl—killed in a fiery crash in western Kankakee County last week have been identified by the Kankakee County Coroner's Office.

At approximately 10:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, Kankakee County Sheriff’s deputies were called for a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of 18000 West and 2000 South Road, in Reddick, a small town south of Braidwood.

Deputies found one of the vehicles fully engulfed in flames, police said. Preliminary investigation revealed that each vehicle contained two occupants, and all four were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Witnesses reported that a 2021 Honda Accord had been traveling recklessly prior to the collision, the sheriff's office said, crossing the center line at a high rate of speed and passing other motorists moments before impact. The Honda subsequently struck a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox head-on as the Equinox was traveling southbound.

The coroner's office identified the occupants of the Accord as driver Malik Parker and his 5-year-old daughter, Malia Parker.

Shaw Local is reporting Malik Parker was 26 years old, and most recently a resident of Plainfield.

The occupants of the Equinox were identified as Inayatulla Khan and Rafiq Muhammad.

Muhammad, 51, of Harvey, was reportedly driving the Equinox, with passenger Khan, 66, of Aurora. Muhammad's family started a GoFundMe, describing him as a loving father of five who came to the United States legally in pursuit of a better life for his family.

Malik Parker is a former basketball player for Albany State University in Georgia. The school released a statement on Oct. 31.

"The Albany State University family is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Golden Ram, Malik Parker, and his young daughter in a tragic accident," the statement reads.

"Malik represented Albany State with pride, dedication, and heart, on the court and in our community. We are grateful for the time he shared with us and the legacy he leaves behind as a teammate, friend, and son of the Golden Ram family."

Brianna McCoy, the aunt of Malia Parker, has started a GoFundMe to assist with funeral costs. It has raised $10,000 as of Monday morning.

"My beautiful niece lost her life 10/30/2025 in a tragic car wreck along with her loving father," the fundraiser's website reads. "Our family is having a difficult time with this. I am creating this gofundme on the behalf of my sister to seek assistance with costs for funeral/service. Anything will help. Most importantly, keep our whole family in your prayers."
