While some people — including employees at some retail stores, as well as emergency responders — will be working on the holiday, many area businesses and offices will be closed, giving workers a day off.

Here's list of what's open and what's closed in Manhattan for Christmas 2017.

  • Post office: Closed
  • Federal offices: Closed
  • Village of Manhattan: City offices are closed. Garbage collection will be delayed a day.
  • Will County offices, including the circuit clerk's office, courts, health department and more will be closed on Christmas.
