Manhattan Offers Birthday Mini Parades
Many children can't have birthday parties due to the coronavirus, so the village of Manhattan is offering birthday mini parades.
MANHATTAN, IL — The coronavirus has impacted every facet of daily life, including celebrating birthday parties. Those who are turning a year older during these times can't celebrate with extended family or friends at birthday parties and celebrations. The village of Manhattan is helping celebrate birthdays by offering mini birthday parades for children who are celebrating their birthdays in April.
The village said the parade will include vehicles from the emergency management agency, public works and the police department. For those children who are celebrating April birthdays, the vehicles will drive by their house and do a mini parade in front of the home.
