Shade Structures Installed At Manhattan Splash Pad

MANHATTAN, IL — After being approved in May by the Manhattan Park District, the Central Park splash pad shades have now arrived. The park district said the splash pad is closed July 15 and July 16 for the installation of the shade structures.

The Manhattan Park Foundation donated $20,000 for the structures.

According to board documents from the May 9 meeting, the total cost of the project is $31,000. The shade structures are being purchased from Parkreation, Inc., for $19,929.
