5 Candidates Running For 4 Open District 159 Board Positions

MOKENA, IL — Five candidates are running for four open positions on the Mokena District 159 Board of Education, according to the Will County Clerk's final candidate list.

The board of education consists of seven board members who serve 4-year terms. For the April 6 election, there are four open 4-year terms. The candidates running for the four 4-year positions are: James Andresen, Lisa Zielinski, Anna Briscoe, Eric Bush and Colleen Lamonte.

Lamonte is a newcomer candidate; the four other candidates are incumbents. According to the district website, Zielinski is the current vice president of the board, Briscoe is the secretary of the board, and Andresen and Bush are both current board members.

This final candidate list from the county does not include any write-in candidates who may choose to run.
