Almost Showtime for Lincoln-Way East Fall Play

Performances of "Death and Taxes" will be held Oct. 9–11.

Lincoln-Way East is presenting “Death and Taxes” by Pat Cook. Performances will be Thursday, October 9, at 7:00 p.m. and Friday, October 10, at 7 p.m. in the East Fine Arts Center. Saturday, October 11, the play will be presented at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.

“Seating is very limited, because it is on stage with the performers. Tickets are limited for each show,” said Hilary Gansauer, Lincoln-Way East English teacher and Director of East Theatre Company.

Lincoln-Way East cast members are: Sara Groth, Corbin Moore, Grace Juracka, Jake Juracka, Grace Pieczynski, Sebastian Khattabi, Julia Gallagher, Andy Schlott, and Renee Liden.

“Ever wonder what goes on at a small town city council meeting? In Hendricks, they’re looking for a murderer. Miss Martindale, the local drama teacher sets up the “scene of the crime,” and soon it becomes apparent that everyone on the council had dealings of one sort or another with the victim, and it looks like every one of them has something to hide,” said Gansauer,
