Annual Pride Fest Planned In Mokena
This is a family friendly festival with children's activities planned as well as music, food, speakers, and more.
MOKENA, IL — The second annual Pride Fest will return to Mokena in June. The event is hosted by Instill Pride in collaboration with Southwest Suburban Activists and will be held June 8 at Yunker Farm, 10824 W. La Porte Road from 12 to 8 p.m.
According to a release, this year marks the 50th anniversary of the gay pride movement and the fest will recognize this. Admission to the event is free.
Local businesses and organizations are invited to support the fest. According to a release, this is a family friendly festival with children’s activities planned as well as music, food, speakers, food vendors, arts and crafts, and entertainment.
