Bird Watching Hike Planned In Mokena
A bird-watching hike, led by a naturalist, will be held June 2 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Hickory Creek Preserve.
MOKENA, IL — The Forest Preserve District of Will County will offer several bird hikes this spring, including one in Mokena. A bird-watching hike, led by a naturalist, will be held June 2 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Hickory Creek Preserve - LaPorte Road access, at the Shagbark Grove shelter.
According to the preserve, this is the perfect time of the year to spot migrating birds because tree leaves are still emerging. The programs are for both beginners and experienced birders, and are free.
