Christmas is in the Air at Noonan Academy

The Christmas show goes on at Noonan Academy

Noonan Academy in Mokena had to get creative with their Christmas program with year. The student’s Christmas spirit is strong, and they wanted to spread their Christmas cheer so Assistant Principal, Mary Murphy, and music teacher, Leah Andricopulos, came up with the idea of hosting the performances outside following all current health guidelines during dismissal, staggering them over two weeks so that every grade in the primary building would have the opportunity to sing.

Starting with Noonan’s PreK3 and PreK4 classes on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, students sang proudly “Away in the Manger”, “Jingle Bells”, and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” to family members who assembled in the parking lot at dismissal. This quick 10 minute performance is important because it is at this grade level that the foundations to oratory confidence is laid and then fostered at Noonan.

Due to inclement weather last week, Noonan Kindergartner’s will be performing on Wednesday this week with 1st and 2nd graders closing out the week on Friday before the school dismisses for Christmas break.
