County 'Closes' Outbreak At Marley Oaks, No New Cases Reported
Since the facility hasn't reported any new cases in over 28 days, the Will County Health Department has "closed" the Marley Oaks outbreak.
MOKENA, IL — The Illinois Department of Public Health has revised its case count at Marley Oaks in Mokena back down to one death and six cases of the coronavirus. On May 8, IDPH had reported the facility had seven cases, but the facility disputed the count.
There hasn't been a case at the facility since early April, administrator Pam West told Patch. The added seventh case was due to a discrepancy in hospital records. The six cases at the facility included five residents and one staff member.
