The Battlefield Balladeers will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War by performing music dating back to the time of the War Between the States. The Battlefield Balladeers repertoire includes songs written for the war, popular music from the minstrel shows, Stephen Foster favorites, sentimental, patriotic and humorous songs. Each song is introduced with an historic quote or reason why the song was important and/or popular.
A collection of 1-inch tall toy Civil War soldiers also will be on display.
