Fellowship Trained Shoulder & Elbow Expert Joins Ingalls Advanced Orthopedic Institute

Ingalls Memorial Hospital is pleased to welcome orthopedic surgeon Venkat Seshadri, M.D., to its medical staff. Specializing in the treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions, he is the newest physician to join the Ingalls Advanced Orthopedic Institute.

A Chicago-area native, Dr. Seshadri has joined the group Premier Orthopaedic and Hand Center, and he will see patients in their Flossmoor office. He is proficient in joint replacements and general orthopedic surgeries, including hip and knee arthroplasty.

His impressive credentials include a shoulder and elbow fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, and an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he performed more than 100 total joint arthroplasties, including several complex primaries and revisions as primary attending surgeon at the VA hospital in Pittsburgh. In addition, Dr. Seshadri completed his medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. He also served as team physician for the South Allegheny High School football team.

Dr. Seshadri received numerous awards during his orthopedics training, including the Arthroscopy Association of North American Best Resident/Fellow Essay award. He has also participated in numerous research studies and has been published in several journals, including Arthroscopy and Operative Techniques in Orthopaedics.

When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Seshadri enjoys running and cycling.
