Fitness In The Forest Programs Planned In Mokena
Sessions will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday May 2, 9, 16 and 23 at the Hickory Hollow shelter in the Hickory Creek Preserve.
MOKENA, IL — The Forest Preserve District of Will County has planned several "Fitness in the Forest" programs in Mokena in May. The preserve said sessions will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday May 2, 9, 16 and 23 at the Hickory Hollow shelter in the Hickory Creek Preserve - LaPorte Road Access.
Each 45-minute class will be led by Armando Cisneros, a certified personal trainer and owner of Level Set Fitness in Plainfield, the preserve said. This outdoor group fitness class is designed with the beginner in mind and will cover exercising basics, including warm-up techniques, bodyweight exercising and proper form. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and gym shoes, and should bring a water bottle and a workout/yoga mat. The programs cost $7 per person and they are for ages 18 and older.
