GoFundMe Created In Memory Of Mokena Teen
The memorial GoFundMe for Manka has raised $6,225 so far.

MOKENA, IL — A GoFundMe campaign has been created after 17-year-old Jacob Manka was killed by a Metra train on May 22. Manka and Charlie Cooper, 15, of New Lenox, were both killed during the incident, which occurred on the bridge over Hickory Creek near Pilcher Park in Joliet.
Manka was confirmed deceased on May 22, while it took three days to recover Cooper's body.
According to his obituary, Manka was a student at Lincoln-Way Central High School and he played lacrosse for the Lincoln Way Lacrosse Club.

The memorial GoFundMe for Manka has raised $6,225 so far. According to the GoFundMe, the fund will provide the family a way to help memorialize Manka.
A visitation was held for Manka on May 27, and the funeral was held Tuesday. Interment was private.

A Facebook donation campaign has also been created for Cooper.
