Hickory Creek Bikeway Bridge Over Route 30 Closes For Repairs
The worn decking on the bridge will be removed and new decking will be installed.

MOKENA, IL — The Hickory Creek Bikeway bridge over Route 30 will be closed for repairs starting Dec. 9, the Forest Preserve District of Will County said. The worn decking on the bridge will be removed and new decking will be installed.
The project, which also includes abutment repairs, will take a few weeks, the preserve said. When the repairs are done, the bridge will reopen to trail traffic.
The Hickory Creek Bikeway bridge connects the 22-mile Old Plank Road Trail to the 6.65-mile Hickory Creek Bikeway, the preserve said. Old Plank Road Trail users who want to connect to the Bikeway during repairs will have to detour north on either Schoolhouse Road or 116th Avenue/Owens Road to connect.
