'Jump Rope For Heart' Raises $4K For American Heart Association At Arbury Hills
Students in physical education classes at the Mokena school raised more than $4,000 for the American Heart Association.

MOKENA, IL -- Students at Arbury Hills School in Mokena raised more than $4,000 for the American Heart Association through Jump Rope for Heart this year. Several students took part in the annual event that promotes physical activity and heart health through jumping rope.
“I am extremely proud of our Arbury Hills students," Physical Education Teacher and Jump Rope Coordinator Lori Dusek said. "Their enthusiasm and commitment to helping others with heart defects through their jumping and fundraising efforts is truly inspiring."
The $4,355.56 raised during physical education classes a Arbury Hills will support life-saving research and local education programs to fight heart disease and stroke, according to a news release. Fourth-grade student Sara Martino raised the most individually with a total of $345.

Arbury Hills has raised more than $64,000 for the AHA over the 17 years the school has participated in Jump Rope for Heart.
Nationwide, the program has raised more than $890 million for the fight against heart disease and stroke.
