Lights For Liberty Vigil Planned In Mokena

The Southwest Suburban Activists will host a vigil in Mokena at the Hickory Creek Junction from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

MOKENA, IL — Lights for Liberty: A Vigil To End Human Concentration camps will hold candlelight vigils on Friday, July 12, in locations throughout the country. The Southwest Suburban Activists will host a vigil in Mokena at the Hickory Creek Junction from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The group asked participants to bring signs and candles.

The goal of the vigils, according to the Lights for Liberty, is to protest the inhumane conditions of migrant camps along the U.S. southern border.

Vigils will also be held in Homewood, Oak Park, Naperville, Kankakee and several other towns across Illinois.
