Lincoln-Way D210 Calls Emergency Board Meeting For Tuesday

MOKENA, IL — The Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 has called an emergency school board meeting for 7 p.m. Tuesday. According to the meeting agenda, the board will take action on the reopening of school for the 2020-2021 school year. A specific action was not noted.
Over the last few days, many school districts have decided to start the year of with remote learning due to new guidance issued by the Illinois Department of Public Health. On Friday, Lincoln-Way delayed the first day of school to Aug. 24, and the year is currently set to begin with a hybrid learning plan.
Several of Lincoln-Way high schools feeder districts have made the switch to remote learning, including Mokena District 159, New Lenox District 122, Summit Hill District 161 and Frankfort District 157-C.
