Mokena Collecting Branches After Severe Storms

MOKENA, IL — Thousands remain without power and damage has been reported across the Chicago suburbs after Monday's severe storms.

At Monday night's village board meeting, Assistant Public Works Director Mark Detloff said there were about 25 trees taken down in the storms in Mokena.

He said it would take about three days to get all the trees cleaned up. Mokena had about 15 minutes of 60-70 mph winds, Detloff said.
