Mokena Makes $307K On Video Gaming In 2019 So Far
There are thousands of video gaming terminals across the state, and there are 88 terminals in Mokena alone.
MOKENA, IL — Video gaming has been a much debated topic since the Video Gaming Act was passed in Illinois in 2009. There are thousands of video gaming terminals across the state, and there are 88 terminals in Mokena alone.
The most recent revenue data from the Illinois Gaming Board is from November. According to the gaming board, from January to November, $78,263,275.75 was the amount "played" or gambled in Mokena. However, the total amount of funds in, or the money people actually put in the machines, was $24,648,562.
Overall, the terminals had a net terminal income of $6,145,299.46, with $1,622,496.03 going to the state and $307,265.51 going to the village of Mokena.

According to the Illinois Gaming Board, in 2019, Mokena had 18 establishments which have video gaming. The establishments are:
- Accelerate Indoor Speedway Chicago, LLC (Victory Lap Bar and Grill) has five terminals
- Conroc, Inc. (Post Game Pub & Sedona Grille), has five terminals
- Dyer Pub LLC (DOC's Smokehouse & Craft Bar), has five terminals
- F & N Mokena, Inc. (Frank's Shrimp & Chicken), has five terminals
- FMRM4 Incorporated (Fajitas Mexican Restaurant of Mokena), has five terminals
- Fox's on Wolf, Inc., has five terminals
- J-Mokena Inc. (Jamo's Live) has six terminals
- Lenny's Gas N Wash La Grange Road, LLC, has five terminals
- Lenny's Gas N Wash, LLC, (gas station on 191st) has five terminals
- Lucky Bird, Inc. (Balagio), has four terminals
- Mandy Enterprises, Inc. (Beggars Pizza), has five terminals
- Mokena Mindy's Inc., has five terminals
- Montemayor, Inc. (El Cortez Mexican Restaurant), has five terminals
- Stoney Point Grill, LLC, has five terminals
- The Alley Grill and Tap Company has five terminals
- The Mokena Inn, Inc. (Little Al's Mokena Inn), has four terminals
- William Martin VFW Post 725 has five terminals
- Windy City Taverns LLC (Legends Grill and Bar) has four terminals
In addition to the businesses above, there were also gaming terminals at Anthony's on Front, which has now closed.

The busiest place for video gaming in Mokena was Lenny's Gas N Wash, 8810 W. 191st St., where $18,267,613.63 was "played," the funds in was $5,321,706, and the net terminal income was $1,383,690.98.
