Mokena Man Killed in Single Vehicle Crash

A Mokena man was killed in a Saturday afternoon crash at the corner of Fox Glove Lane and Crystal Creek Drive.

Michael Nardo, 56, was pronounced dead shortly after 3 p.m. at the scene of the wreck near the intersection of Fox Glove Lane and Crystal Creek Drive.

Nardo’s vehicle “struck several fixed objects and then came to rest in a ravine,” according to a statement released by Will County Coroner Patrick O’Neil’s office.

The Mokena Police Department is investigating the crash. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.
