Mokena Offers Concerts, Movies In The Park

MOKENA, IL — The Mokena Community Park District will hold several concerts and movies in the park this summer. All of the events are free and will be held at the Yunker Farm Bandshell, 10824 W. La Porte Road, except the July 4 event, the park district said.

Concessions will be open at the events. Concerts begin at 7 p.m. and movies will begin at 8:15 p.m.

Schedule is as follows:

• Thursday, June 6. 4th Point. Rock and alternative.
• Thursday, June 13. "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." Movie rain date is June 18.
• Thursday, June 20. The Walk-Ins. Your favorite wedding band.
• Thursday, June 27. "Mary Poppins Returns." Rain date July 2.
• Thursday, July 4. Fun Fun DJ at Main Park. 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. DJ party in the park.
• Thursday, July 11. "Tangled." Movie rain date July 16.
• Thursday, July 18. The Wild Upside. 90s through today's hits.
• Thursday, July 25. "Coco." Rain date July 30.

The park district said terraced lawn seating is available or you can bring lawn chairs and blankets.
