Mokena Park District Plans Ace Race

MOKENA, IL — The Mokena Community Park District will hold the Ace Race on Sunday, Sept. 15. The Ace Race will kick off at 11 a.m. at The Oaks Disc Golf Course, 10847 La Porte Road, in Mokena.

The park district said all players will throw the same model disc and try to throw aces. All participants receive a player package that includes two prototype discs and other goodies.

Participants will play at least 36 holes, one throw per hole, per player. Depending on the prototype disc, holes will generally be 150-225 feet. Player with the most overall aces wins a prize. Players of all ages and abilities are welcome, the park district said.

Registration deadline is Aug. 30.
