Mokena Sets Trick-Or-Treating Hours
If you do not want to participate in trick-or-treating, you can display a "No tricks or treats" sign in your window.
MOKENA, IL — The Mokena Village Board has approved its annual trick-or-treating hours for 3 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 31.
At Monday's Village Board meeting, the village also shared that if you do not want to participate in trick-or-treating, you can display a "No tricks or treats" sign in your window. The sign will be located on the back of the October newsletter, and delivered with the residential water bill.
The sign can also be printed from the village website or picked up from Village Hall.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently released guidance for fall and winter holidays.
It did list traditional trick-or-treating as a higher risk activity and stated the costume masks should not be used in place of cloth face masks. You also should not wear a costume mask over a cloth masks, because it can make it hard to breathe. The CDC suggested using a Halloween-themed cloth mask.
