Mokena Volunteers Honored For Service By Silver Cross

Nearly 700 area residents donate their time and talents to raise funds for the hospital and assist in daily operations.

MOKENA, IL — Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox recently honored its volunteers at the hospital's annual recognition luncheon. According to a release, with four volunteer organizations: Advisory Board (Encore Resale Shop), Childerguild (Gift Shop) and The Will County Union of King's Daughters and Sons (founders of Silver Cross)and Inservice volunteers, nearly 700 area residents donate their time and talents to raise funds for the hospital and assist in daily operations.

Several residents of Mokena were honored at the luncheon including:

  • 500 hours of service, John Creedon, In-Service
  • 500 hours of service, Cheryl Smith, In-Service
  • 1,000 hours of service, Annelle Paschal, In-Service
  • 1,500 hours of service, Georganne Farrell, In-Service
  • 2,000 hours of service, Mike Perkovich, In-Service
  • 3,500 hours of service, Kathryn Anderson, In-Service
  • 4,000 hours of service, Monica Roberts, In-Service
  • 4,500 hours of service, Judy Wasilkoff, In-Service
  • 7,000 hours of service, Stuart Switt, In-Service
